Spring Break

This was the first spring break that I was free and had no big plans. Over the years I spent every single spring break going to the beach with a bunch of families and even though it was fun it was good to have time to relax. My break started on friday because my parents signed me out of school early during lunch so I could go home early. On Saturday morning, the first day of spring break, I got up around 7 a.m to make my dad a birthday breakfast because it was his 67th birthday. My mother and I spent the afternoon attempting to make a homemade upside down pineapple cake in a shape of a heart. We made two cakes and one of them turned out perfect while the other was not the best looking so we ended up giving then better one to my dad and giving the other to my brother to eat. We celebrated my dad's birthday at home.
The following days I didn't to do much other than read on the couch and procrastinate painting my room. My dad left to New Mexico for his work on Monday. I had to get up at 6 a.m on Monday morning much to my displeasure because my brother and I had to go to a Neurologist appointment that I have once a year for my medicine and was at 8 a.m and had to leave the house by 7 a.m. We showed up to our brain doctors looking horrible with bed hair and trying to wipe away the sleep in our eyes. After they took our height I sadly found out that I wasn't 4'11 like I had thought but I was 4'10. We waited for about one hour before our doctor showed up and by that time my brother was asleep laying across the chairs while I was to hyper to sit still and was leaping around due to not having enough time to take my ADHD medicine. After asking us question we finally got to leave and we went to get to eat since we were staving. I'm so thankful that this appointment went good since last year the brain doctors were explaining the probability of me having a possible brain tumor.
We didn't want to go downtown because of all the traffic with sxsw. On Wednesday I convinced my mom to get us a big swan float because it look like a lot of fun. It took a while to inflate the swan but it was worth it when my friend and I went swimming in the hot weather in my pool with the swan. I loss count of how many times my friend fell off the swan from trying to jump on it even if it was big enough to fit both of us. My friend and I spent that evening taking picture around my front an back yard because it was a beautiful day to be outside.
On Thursday my brother went tubbing down a river with his friends while my mother took me to get new books at Barnes and Noble because I was so deprived from reading since I finished all my books.   I spent probably more than a hour which is fast for me to pick out books since I am picky about what books I read. I had more than four huge books in my arms when I decided to go to the language section to see if they finally gotten books on learning Korean. I was so excited to see that they had three Korean learning books but I knew I could get all of them because the were expensive. In the end I had to give up two of my other books to get two Korean books so I left the store with four new books. Once my dad got home I made a bet that I could jump from the side of the pool onto the swan float which was in the middle of the pool with all my clothes on for $100 and even though it took me a while to try and get out off the pool without getting wet I made good money winning the bet.
I spent the remainder of the break reading my new books and practicing my Korean. I enjoyed spending time with my family and relaxing. In my opinion spring break went way to fast.
