"In a stunning cover for New York’s “Spring Fashion” issue, Erik Madigan Heck created a wall-to-wall effect with the red and white floral pattern on Lupita Nyong’o’s Stella McCartney dress and a coordinated background. Nyong’o is no wallflower, seeming to pop right out of this inventive and stylish cover."

The cover is something that is not plain simple but at the same time not over the top dramatic. It has a perfect balance of colors and batters that doesn't make the reader feel like they are being overwhelmed. Even though there is probably a couple magazine cover out there that has the main subject wearing something that has similar patterns to the background I think that this one is just so neat with the colors. This cover has a aspect that catches my eye and makes me want to read more. The cover recreates a picture that would just be simple if the background was different and throws in a creative aspect and shows off the fashion beautifully.

Long Answers
1. My favorite photo would be the Here Comes the Snow one because the environment is so different from here in austin since we don't normally get snow. i liked that photo the most because it is really cute since the children are helping out the baby.
2. The photo that has the most interesting stuff in it is the Pedal through the Powder photo because it looks shocking that people have to put up with that amount of snow. Its not something you would see everyday in Austin Texas.
3. A Beacon on the Plains is the most boring in my opinion because their isn't much going on. Its the most boring because its not a big event.
4. I think that the photo Ole had the most interesting subject because the person into is doing something that is very dangerous. The danger in the photo makes its attack me more to it because it a action not a lot of people do.

Portraits and Self Portraits

Most portraits are taken with the camera at (or around) the eye level of the subject. While this is good common sense – completely changing the angle that you shoot from can give your portrait a real WOW factor.

Switch your camera into ‘burst’ or ‘continuous shooting’ mode and fire off more than one shot at a time.

The person in your portrait is the main point of interest – however sometimes when you place them into different contexts with different backgrounds you can dramatically alter the mood in a shot.

2. Environmental portrait are people in a forest or surrounded by plants while casual portraits are more pictures focusing on the main subjects.

3. I think that to get a really good self portrait someone has to try out different angles.

1. We should closely relate aperture to our face.
2. The smaller the Aperture the more light it lets in, the higher the Aperture the less light it lets in.
3. Aperture impacts the Depth of Field because the smaller the aperture the more blurry the background becomes and the sharper the main focus becomes while the larger the aperture the less sharper the focus becomes as the background becomes more into focus as the main focus.
